Home

We just got back from an amazing time in South-Africa! Actually, amazing doesn’t really begin to cover it. We saw family and friends, had tons of laughs and meat 🙂 🙂 and we rested. It was a time where we could just break away after a year and a half that seemed to just jet past, and look back over the multitudes of things that actually happened, and see how God directed and guided us through it all.

Even though we connected with our friends and family back in SA throughout the year, there is just another level of “closure” / “contentment” that settles in your heart when you can look them in the eye and really see and hear how they are doing.

We loved seeing how God is moving powerfully in and through the church there and how, even in a difficult economical climate, people are clinging to God and holding fast to His Word. It is so encouraging to see!

Another thing that God just came and cemented in our hearts was that Belfast, Northern Ireland is now HOME. After a few weeks in SA both Danica and myself had a longing for “our people”. Our people being the ones that God has placed in and on our hearts. Northern Ireland and her people have creeped so deep into our hearts that it feels like it was always meant to be. Now, that doesn’t mean that we don’t miss SA or our family, but it means that when God moves you, He also establishes you. He doesn’t ship you half way across the world to just figure it out by yourself! He sets your feet and fastens your heart on and to the new. He is ever faithful throughout the WHOLE process!

All that to say, we were HOME for a while, but now we are HOME HOME. 🙂

At the South African day back in Belfast Northern Ireland

Noah and Zoë have a few more weeks of Summer holidays left and they’re enjoying every part of it. The kids are set to start their new school year in Sept. They are really excited!

The second half of this year is going to be very busy, with a team from our church heading to Israel for a study tour, and Danica heading out to Utrecht as part of an evangelism week later in the year. But, we’ll keep you updated as things unfold.

If we could ask you to pray and trust with us for a few things:

  1. That the kids would settle well into the new school year, and to continue to make good friends.

2. Our car is starting to tend towards the “end of its life” stage. We are super thankful for the miles that we have gotten from it, but we really need something more reliable. Only challenge is that we’ll need to apply for finance and probably have a deposit, which could be a problem. Could you please pray with us that God would lead us in the right direction and help us with the finances. We are looking at a 2nd hand car in the range of £4000 – £5000.

3. Also, one of our highlights over this trip has been to catch up with our financial partners and sharing with them what God is busy doing here in NI. Even though, unfortunately we couldn’t see every one of them, we are so grateful for every one of you that God has placed in our lives. Could you please pray with us that God would open doors for us for more financial partners as some of our partners that committed for a year, have now moved on. Again, we couldn’t have done this past year without you, and we praise God for your faithfulness. What we would need in our budget, to make it work going forward would be between £500 – £800 (p/month).

If anyone would like to contribute to our ministry here in Belfast please follow this link – http://www.give.net/20283992

Also feel free to share it with anyone you think might like the opportunity to give.

We love and appreciate every one of you guys! Thank you for your massive part in our lives!!
