Spring Family & Ministry Update

Spring has finally sprung here on the gorgeous Emerald Isle! Even if it’s only the lighter evenings at the moment, we’d say that we’re happy to say goodnight to the long nights and the short days.

With every season there is some change, and as a family we have definitely been experiencing some changes. Practical things like the kids growing up, getting busier with sport and school, myself getting older and Danica getting younger! But spiritually there has been a lot of “change”. Change in the sense of growth, being challenged to walk where we need to trust for the next step, stepping out beyond our comforts and discovering the things that God has placed within us that we never thought could even exist in our worlds. Change can be scary. Change is uncertain. But God is ALWAYS certain. We can know that whatever the season, He is constant and always with us. Always faithful to grow, lead, strengthen and protect us.

For those of you who don’t know, Danica will be leading a team of 6 people to the Ukraine in the beginning of May. They will serve one of our Every Nation Churches in Lviv with whatever they need done. But they are going with a mission and heart of love & evangelism. Here is an update from Danica:

Since I’ve been in Poland and Ukraine last year my heart has not grown weary in praying for them and trusting God for a breakthrough for Ukraine. It’s been more than a year ago since the war broke out, the volunteers are growing weary, people are growing tired of trying to see the hope, but we the church can’t grow tired and weary of sharing God’s love and heart for those finding themselves in war.

I’ve been pouring my heart out to God, lamenting and asking Him to do something. And then He said to me, “I am doing something. And part of My plan is sending My people to share Me with them. Are you willing to go?” So why are we going to Ukraine? Because God Almighty asked us to go. Simple.

What are we going to do in Ukraine? We are going to help the Every Nation church in Ternopil. We will be assisting them in whatever they need. We’ll be going out, praying for people, evangelising and trusting with the local team there for miracles. We’ll be working with our hands whatever we can find to do, cooking, cleaning, praying and laying hands on people, building, gardening, painting, carrying people’s bags. Anything and everything.

I’m busy reading Jeremiah, it’s not a very easy book to read. I’m still in the beginning, and so I was looking ahead in the book to see when is the hope going to come, when are the people going to turn back to their God. And then I read this in Jeremiah 32:17 “Oh Lord God! You yourself made the heavens and earth by Your great power and with Your outstretched arm. Nothing is too difficult for You!” And in Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and incomprehensible things you do not know.” I know that God has asked us to go to Ukraine, I know that He has a massive plan to use us there. I know that this plan is too difficult for us, but it is not too difficult for God. And I know that there are things we don’t know yet, things that we’re unsure of, but I know that as we press into Him, as we incline our ears and our hearts to Him, He will reveal great and incomprehensible things to us. I know that we will see miracles happen, we will see salvations, we will see the broken set free. We just need to put our focus and trust on the One Who sends us.

Thank you for your prayers!! We really need it!! And if you feel led to help us financially, please give through the link provided.

Danica and I will be traveling to England in a few weeks to minister at my parents-in-law’s church in Bournemouth. Please trust with us for breakthrough in the hearts of the people, for a deeper hunger to know and serve Jesus.

It is going really well at Every Nation Belfast! God spoke to us in the beginning of the year and gave us 3 words for the year:

  • Momentum
  • Miracles
  • Multiplication

We’re seeing a momentum from God throughout the entire world. We want to be faithful to see what He is doing and join in. We don’t want to see the wave, get scared and decide that “next time” we’ll go along with what God wants. That is our greatest encouragement to anyone reading this update – “The time to get involved with what you know in your heart God has called you for and equipped you to, is now.” The temptation to retreat to the familiar and the old is always strong, but we stretch out towards what God is moving us into with the hope and faith that He goes before us, is with us and is our rear guard!

We are seeing in influx of people to our Sunday services which highlights the fact that we need to multiply more leaders. Please pray for us as we trust God to show us the right people to lead with us.

As we continue into this year, let us all trust God to do miracles through our lives. Getting back to “laying our hands on the sick, anointing them with oil” so that they can be healed. Wifi prayer is great because God can do anything, but let’s not be afraid to get right into peoples lives. To be a bit uncomfortable and see God move in that way too!

We are so excited to see some of you in Cape Town later this year for our Every Nation World Conference! We’ll only be there for the week, as it’s in the middle of our school term, but WE CAN’T WAIT to be back on home soil gathering with the world. We also have quite a few people from Every Nation Belfast joining us there, and we look forward to showing them some African hospitality!

Prayer points –

  • With everything going up in price all over the world, we really need to raise our ministry partnership goal. We need to lift it by about £500 per month. Would you knit your faith with ours as we trust God for open doors to those Kingdom Investors looking to sow seed into the ministry here in Northern Ireland? If you would like to give or if you feel lead to raise your current support, you can find the details here: https://wordpress.com/post/onll.family.blog/8
  • Please pray for Danica as she gets her heart ready to lead this team to the Ukraine. The team members are (Andy, Gareth, John, Danica, Lisa-Marie, Gayle)

PLEASE get in touch with us by phone or email and let us know how we can pray for each of you!

We look forwarding to a year where we are going to see a mighty move of God in the nations!

Blessings to you all,

Brian, Danica, Noah and Zoë

It’s 2023…

From our family to yours, we’d like to wish you all a very happy new year! We pray that you will experience all that God has planned for you in throughout 2023.

We haven’t given an update in a while, but we have been doing well. We had the privilege of having family with us over Christmas and took a bit of a break before we start again, full steam, this week.

There are a few things coming up this year that we are really excited about and I’d love to share some of them with you here:

  • We are planning another mission trip to Ukraine later in the year. Danica will be taking a team to go and serve our EN church there and help with whatever needs there are.
  • Danica and I have a few opportunities throughout the year to minister at different EN churches throughout Europe.
  • Every Nation has its World Conference in Cape Town, South Africa in October, and we are trusting God to be able to attend this amazing event where we reconnect with global family once every 3 years.

Personally, we are excited to get even more stuck into our beautiful city and its beautiful people. God is moving here in Belfast and we are blessed to be part of His plan here in Northern Ireland.

As we get closer to some of these things, we’ll share some more detail around them.

Thank you so much to each one of you walking this journey with us. We value your prayers, your generosity, your phone calls and messages. Without you we’d be up a creek without a paddle, maybe even without a raft. Thank you so much!!

Please let us know how we can pray for you.

Have a blessed day,

Brian, Danica, Noah and Zoë

Autumn Ministry Update

As colours start to change around us, the temperature starts to plummet and the days get shorter, I’m reminded that in the midst of change, God is always constant. This is such an important reminder for all of us in these times of constant and fast change.

A word that God has laid on my heart these past couple of weeks comes from 2 Timothy. There are two things in the first chapter that I just quickly want to highlight.

  1. We are encouraged to “fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands,  for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”

There are so many things in our daily lives that tries to get us to back down, retreat or cower in fear, but we are encouraged that we have the gift of God (Holy Spirit) inside of us. Let us follow His instruction, move in His power, keep in step with His movements and live in His peace.

2. “By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.”

Guard the good deposits that has been sown in your hearts. Again, there are so many things that want to come and steal from what God has done and is doing in our lives. We need to guard those good deposits. The words of God that we hold on to. The hope we have in Christ. Hold on to these things.

How things are going

Things are going really well with the O’Neill family. We are becoming more and more established with each passing day. Yes, there are definite difficulties that everyone faces, but the positives so far outweigh the negatives! We thank God for that!

Here are just a few photos of family life. The kids recently had a Family evening at school. It was the 2nd time in the almost 2 years that we’ve been here, that we’ve had an “entire family” event at school. It was a lot of fun. S’mores, drum workshops, animals, face painting, forest school treasure hunting, tennis, bagpipe playing etc. Great craic (read “crack” – means fun) to be had!

Noah is really growing as a footballer. Finding his position and having a great time! So lovely to see your children enjoy and grow in something! Zoë is doing so well in her gymnastics as well! She was chosen to be part of the “Rising Stars” squad this year where she will already start participating in competitions at the end of the year. Unfortunately parents still can’t go into the gym where they are doing their training, so I don’t have any pics of her doing it.

Danica and I have started spending some more time painting and sketching! It is something that we love doing and it also helps us with some extra income. If you would like to see more of our work, you can head over to our Etsy shop here:

15 year anniversary celebration on the Lagan river

We celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary on the 6th of October. What an incredible journey this has been so far!! She puts up with a lot from me, and I am truly thankful for a God fearing, loving wife and an exceptional mother! We can’t wait to see what God is going to do in and through us in the future.

Missions

Danica will be heading out twice over the next two months.

The first one is a mission trip where she will be joining with our church plant in Utrecht, Netherlands, to do evangelism on campus. The Lord has really grown Danica in the area of Evangelism and she really comes alive when speaking to others about Christ. She will be away from Monday 17 Oct to Sunday 23 Oct.

The second trip will be for her to join our EN Evangelism summit in Ghent, Belgium in November. This is significant for her as our missions director to be equipped further in evangelism, but also to connect with other evangelists and missions directors across EN Europe.

Prayers

  1. We would love to pray for any one of you. Please reach out to us either via DM or email and it would be our privilege to stand with you in prayer for whatever you are trusting God for.
  2. Please pray for Danica as she heads out over the next 2 months. Pray that she will travel safely and that it would be a special time of equipping and connection.
  3. We are trusting for a church and office building here in Belfast. God has so far connected us with incredible people on the city council that want to help us. Please pray that we would find something where we can really take root in the city and expand in what God has called us to.
  4. Please pray for us as we trust God for more financial partners. As some of our partners have now moved on, we are really needing to fill that gap. Please trust that God would open doors to people that want to sow into His Kingdom. We know that He is our provider, and we look to Him in this time.

We’d like to honour every one of you on this journey with us. Thank you for giving, praying and loving on us! We can’t do this by ourselves, and we wouldn’t want to!

May God bless each of you richly in whatever you do!

Love,

Brian and Danica

Home

We just got back from an amazing time in South-Africa! Actually, amazing doesn’t really begin to cover it. We saw family and friends, had tons of laughs and meat 🙂 🙂 and we rested. It was a time where we could just break away after a year and a half that seemed to just jet past, and look back over the multitudes of things that actually happened, and see how God directed and guided us through it all.

Even though we connected with our friends and family back in SA throughout the year, there is just another level of “closure” / “contentment” that settles in your heart when you can look them in the eye and really see and hear how they are doing.

We loved seeing how God is moving powerfully in and through the church there and how, even in a difficult economical climate, people are clinging to God and holding fast to His Word. It is so encouraging to see!

Another thing that God just came and cemented in our hearts was that Belfast, Northern Ireland is now HOME. After a few weeks in SA both Danica and myself had a longing for “our people”. Our people being the ones that God has placed in and on our hearts. Northern Ireland and her people have creeped so deep into our hearts that it feels like it was always meant to be. Now, that doesn’t mean that we don’t miss SA or our family, but it means that when God moves you, He also establishes you. He doesn’t ship you half way across the world to just figure it out by yourself! He sets your feet and fastens your heart on and to the new. He is ever faithful throughout the WHOLE process!

All that to say, we were HOME for a while, but now we are HOME HOME. 🙂

At the South African day back in Belfast Northern Ireland

Noah and Zoë have a few more weeks of Summer holidays left and they’re enjoying every part of it. The kids are set to start their new school year in Sept. They are really excited!

The second half of this year is going to be very busy, with a team from our church heading to Israel for a study tour, and Danica heading out to Utrecht as part of an evangelism week later in the year. But, we’ll keep you updated as things unfold.

If we could ask you to pray and trust with us for a few things:

  1. That the kids would settle well into the new school year, and to continue to make good friends.

2. Our car is starting to tend towards the “end of its life” stage. We are super thankful for the miles that we have gotten from it, but we really need something more reliable. Only challenge is that we’ll need to apply for finance and probably have a deposit, which could be a problem. Could you please pray with us that God would lead us in the right direction and help us with the finances. We are looking at a 2nd hand car in the range of £4000 – £5000.

3. Also, one of our highlights over this trip has been to catch up with our financial partners and sharing with them what God is busy doing here in NI. Even though, unfortunately we couldn’t see every one of them, we are so grateful for every one of you that God has placed in our lives. Could you please pray with us that God would open doors for us for more financial partners as some of our partners that committed for a year, have now moved on. Again, we couldn’t have done this past year without you, and we praise God for your faithfulness. What we would need in our budget, to make it work going forward would be between £500 – £800 (p/month).

If anyone would like to contribute to our ministry here in Belfast please follow this link – http://www.give.net/20283992

Also feel free to share it with anyone you think might like the opportunity to give.

We love and appreciate every one of you guys! Thank you for your massive part in our lives!!

Testimony

It is with hearts filled with thanksgiving that we want to say thank you to each one of you for praying for and with us!

One of our prayer request was for the SA Embassy in Dublin, which was fully booked, to somehow grant us an earlier appointment for Noah’s documents, or for God to provide us with the money to change our flights.

Well, today I got an email giving us an earlier date at the embassy!! They told us they were full, but God made a way.

I know that there are way weightier things and more important things to trust God for, but I want to encourage you that He is even interested in the smallest details of our lives. He is kind and caring. Even though I made the mistake with the bookings, He still made a way.

Be encouraged to continue to pray. We are so often encouraged to pray BIG prayers, and these are amazing. BUT, never think that something is too small to ask God for. He cares about ALL of your life.

Have a blessed evening, and see you soon!

Brian, Danica, Noah and Zoë

Time for a visit

We are so excited to let you know that we have booked our flights to SA and we’ll be visiting for the month on July.

We are looking forward to seeing you all, catching up and sharing what God has been doing here in Belfast, the UK and Europe.

One of the things that we haven’t given an update on yet is the mission trip that Danica was on in Poland. To say that it was overwhelming is an understatement! With a sea of people coming over the border, filling train platforms and temporary shelters and rest stops, cars and buses driving people to and fro, it’s hard to know where to start. But something that the team felt really strongly was to just “love the one in front of you”. From helping to carry someone’s luggage up the hill to the passport station, to holding a Babushka’s face in your hands while tears are streaming down their face, praying in Afrikaans that they would just experience the peace of God that transcends all understanding, it was a week that broke our hearts into a million pieces. But not broken to stay broken. Broken so that God can transform each and every one of our hearts to beat and feel more like His own.

There is definitely not enough space here to give adequate feedback about that experience, but we can’t wait to talk more in person soon.

There are a few things that still need to fall in place, but we are trusting God and we would like to ask if you would pray with is?

We are trusting for:

1. Danica is feeling a stirring from God to head back to Europe to be involved with the ongoing refugee crisis in the Ukraine. Please trust for clarity, timing and wisdom.

2. We have a big problem (if I can be so blunt) with our travel dates. In my excitement to find cheap tickets, I booked the tickets on the exact same day as Noah’s appointment in Dublin for an Emergency Travel Document without thinking. The embassy has already let me know that they are too full to give me an earlier appointment and the airlines are charging me £1800 to change my and Noah’s tickets to a week later. The price jump is because of difference in fair and it being the start of the Summer holidays.

Please could you intercede with me that we would either by some miracle get an earlier appointment and we can all go together, or that God would supernaturally provide the £1800 (+- R36000) for us to be able to travel a week later?

3. We are wanting to head up to JHB to see family and partners as well, so please trust with us for good local flights.

If you have any questions or would just like to get in touch, please contact me – brian@enbelfast.org

Can’t wait to see you all!!

Much love and blessings,

Ukraine – Part of our response

Hi there everyone,

As most of us are aware, due to the ongoing war in the Ukraine, there are a lot of displaced peoples. People fleeing their country to the safety of their neighbours. And we as the church, but more specifically now, we as Every Nation Belfast have a role to play as the hands and feet of Jesus.

We want to send a small team to Krakow, Poland in two weeks time. They have been receiving scores of refugees and they need all the help they can get. This isn’t just about food and clothing. It’s also about being a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen and hearts to love. We want to be the tangible love of Jesus.

Danica, as our EN Belfast Missions Director, will be on this team.

The team will be helping with whatever there is need for.

  • Cleaning
  • Cooking
  • Food Distribution
  • Clothing Distribution
  • Ministry
  • Anything else that is needed

If you, in any way, would like to contribute towards this small team going to Krakow, please donate here:

Belated Happy New Year

Hi there family and friends! This is our very first, and VERY late, update for 2022. So, from us, we pray that you and yours have an incredible year filled with love, peace and joy!

We’re already in February, and it feels like so much has already happened. So here is just a short update on how we are doing, and what we are up to.

We had the privilege of visiting Danica’s parents in England over Christmas. It was our very first Winter Christmas, and also our first Christmas away from SA. So being with family was amazing. The kids loved seeing their grand parents and filled their little love tanks to overflowing. Looking forward to seeing the other grand parents back in SA soon.

We went to an amazing place called Beaulieu where there is one of the biggest vintage car museums that I have ever been to! Noah was in his element, and we got to ride on top of this open bus to see the Castle and take a tour of the grounds.

Zoë is doing well at her gymnastics club. Unfortunately, we are still not able to go in and see what they are doing, but we are so happy that she can do something that she loves. She has made a lot of friends and is really enjoying school!

Noah loves football and is always super excited to play matches on Saturday mornings. Playing sports has really helped both our kids with settling, getting to know new people and learning new skills. We are ridiculously proud of how they have transitioned to a whole new life.

Danica, with the Global Cafe, had another culture night this past week. We celebrated the wonderfully colourful Iranian culture. She had a team of amazing people that cooked delicious food and organised entertainment so that everyone in attendance could have a taste of their culture. It was such a success.

If I tell you that Danica is blossoming , that would be an understatement. She is really stepping into greater things. Things that she never even thought were possible for her. She is listening to God’s voice and humbly and boldly following Him in everything. As her husband, this is the most beautiful thing to see. There are great opportunities for her and the Global Cafe in the future, and I for one am excited to see what is going to happen.

I have joined 2 “out of church” things in this past year. It has physical benefits for me, but it also allows me to be in the community where people need to see and experience the love of Christ. I started helping to coach at the football club where Noah is and I joined a running club with my friend Jonathan. Both of these things push me out of my comfort and into community. A different kind of community that I would surround myself with if I had a choice. And that is exactly what we are here for. Reaching out beyond our self imposed borders to touch hearts on the fringes.

As a family, we are enjoying the sights and sounds of Northern Ireland. We feel like we have settled. The longing for friends and family is still there, but we do feel like we have come “home”. In our spirits there is a knowing that we are where we are meant to be. That makes us so excited and propels us forward even more in love for our city and for her people. We just passed the ONE YEAR mark, and we are thankful for a year gone by filled with God’s grace and provision.

We love our church family here and we are grateful to get to serve them, alongside an amazing team, every week. God is adding so many different types of people, and we are so thankful to Him for entrusting us with them. Please keep praying that we will always be more like a hospital than an institution of perfection. God’s people are not perfect, but He is.

Lastly, we are thankful to each of you. We are thankful for your love, support, prayers of encouragement, friendship and presence in our lives. You are our co-labourers from wherever you are!

PRAYER POINTS:

  1. Please pray that we will continue in the strength that God provides, and that He will give us favour and strategic connections here in Belfast.
  2. We have had incredible people that committed to support us financially for a year while we get settled. That time has now come to an end. We are so grateful to them for this time that they helped us and they really helped us plow the ground here in our new home. Would you pray with us as we look for new and more partners to come alongside us in the work that we do here? We would really appreciate that!
  3. We are planning on coming to SA later in the year. Would you pray for grace over this process as we need to sort out some passport documents. Also, we had flights booked back to SA, but we had to ask for a refund as the tickets expired and we couldn’t travel. This process may take up to 6months with the backlog. Please pray for a miracle, as we need this money to book our flights.

Thank you once again for everything that you all do!

Love from us,

Brian, Danica, Noah and Zoë

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

It’s November already and everything is starting to head in one direction…Christmas. The brown, red and yellow warm colours of Autumn are already giving way to leafless trees and frost tipped grass. We are absolutely loving it. We love the cold, and this will be our very first full Winter in the Northern hemisphere. Needless to say, we are delighted.

Firstly, a quick look back over the last month or so…

October was a more difficult month for us than we expected. With Halloween having its origin here in Northern Ireland, we experienced a darkness that we weren’t completely geared for. Everywhere we went and everything we listened to was filled with eerie creatures, sounds and stories. The spiritual atmosphere was heavy and dark. We realised just how much of what we take in through our senses have an impact on how we act and perceive things.

We struggled with sickness in our family, sleepless nights, some trouble at school etc. All in all it was just a more intense battle than we’ve faced here before.

I have to say thank you to each and every one of you that prayed for us and sent messages of encouragement. We felt carried and protected. Even though things were tough, we never felt alone. Even though I paint a dark picture, God always reassured us of His promises, His presence and His protection. We are thankful for a loving Father.

Saying all of that, it left almost as quickly as it came. On November 1st it was as if Halloween never existed. There was not one piece of Halloween sweet, Halloween clothing or mask etc to be seen anywhere. It all seemed to be magically (said in jest) replaced by reindeer, christmas trees and carols in one night.

Relationally we are doing well. We are making friends and building strong relationships here. God has placed us in a very loving family!

The church is growing and we are seeing a very strong move of God and clear direction from Him. He gave Johann a vision of a battlefield with a medic tent setup in the centre. EN Belfast is that medic tent in the battle that is raging in our city. He has called the church to look more like a hospital that a museum. God is sending us a lot of people with hurt and brokenness. Sometimes people who might get turned away by other churches. He has called us to walk a road with these people. Showing them the love of Christ and that there is healing and restoration by His blood.

Danica is doing so well with the Global Cafe. It has been an end to a very good season since the Global Cafe started and this ministry stands at the beginning of a new chapter. A chapter of broadening and deepening. They are still busy helping new comers to Belfast integrate. They are still providing food parcels to those in need. But God is calling them into more. Please pray for her and the team as they seek God on the next steps in the growth of this valuable ministry.

Noah and Zoë are doing well in school. Both of them have been awarded student of the month in the past 2 months. We are so proud of them. We had parent-teacher interviews this past week and the teachers are very happy with their progress and integration. They are absolute superheroes. They are making friends and giving this new country everything they’ve got!

I’m so excited about the music ministry here at EN Belfast. God is raising people up and adding to the team. He is busy digging a well of worship here and we are thankful to be a part of that. I’m looking forward to starting some writing groups in the beginning of the year as well. There is a musical gift on this Island, and I believe that God wants to redeem it for His glory!

Again, I would just like to say from the O’Neill family, thank you so much for walking this road with us. I know we might be quiet, and I am not the best at keeping this blog updated, but Danica and I talk about you all often and pray for you. We could absolutely not do any of this without your love, support, investments and prayers. We cherish every one of you!

We pray that this Christmas season will hold a sense of God’s nearness. Of Immanuel, God with us. May you all experience the richness of His love and the liberty of His presence.

I will send out another update before the end of the year!

Bless you all!

Brian, Danica, Noah and Zoë

Family Update – Autumn ’21

Happy turn of the season to you wherever you find yourself!! You might be seeing the green go brown or the other way around, but whichever it is, we hope you are having a great time.

These past three months have been really good. We have learnt so much being part of this community and we are always humbled by the incredible people that God places in our lives.

The kids are back in school after a 2 month Summer vacation. Students are returning to Uni and regular church rhythms are resuming. We are looking forward to a new year filled with exciting challenges and growth.

Above – We were involved in a very special South-Africa day held in Newtownards, a small town about 9 miles outside of Belfast. Global Cafe had a stall selling proper South African boerewors. We had a great day with LEKKER music, people and smell of “home” in the air. Apart from the money that we raised selling boerewors going towards what we do at Global Cafe, we had the opportunity to connect with a bunch of people who just moved over to NI. We could pray for them, encourage them, but mostly just love on them.

We were able to start up our Global Cafe culture nights again last week for the first time since Lockdown. This night we celebrated the smells and sounds of Iran. We have an ever growing Iranian community coming into Belfast, and one of the most important things that these precious people need is community.

At these evenings, our Iranian friends cook some of the tastiest food you’ll ever eat, they make a playlist of great music and then we invite whoever wants to come and just celebrate together. This week specifically we were able to spend time with some people who live in a hostel in Springfield Road here in Belfast. Some of these people have been alone here in Belfast for a long time, away from their countries and families.

These evenings are not just about food and music, meeting the physical needs. It’s also about being the hands and feet of Jesus. Listening to people, talking to people who are lonely and just being “family”. Relationship is the way that we build bridges.

We are doing well as a family. As I mentioned, we had some time over the Summer to explore some of this beautiful country. And I have to say, we are in awe of the natural beauty. But honestly, there is a beauty in the people here that is deep and genuine. God is rooting us here deeply and supernaturally.

Back at school our kids are settling well. They both started a new academic year. Zoë in P2 and Noah in P4.

Zoë started with Gymnastics today (Pictured above). It will be such a good fit for her as I really think she spends more than 50% of her day on her head. She’d eat like that if she could. Noah has been going to football practise for a month now and is really loving it. He is also the first “child of the week” for the new academic year (Pictured above with note from his teacher).

At EN Belfast, things have been going really well. God has been leading us so beautifully through the Word. We came out of a series called “Immersed” where we talked about our Identity in Christ and we are now in a series called “Unleashed” where God is really challenging us to live in the freedom that Christ has purchased for us. This opens up such a space for people to operate in their gifts and also to be encouraged to step out in faith in their workplaces as well. God hasn’t called us to live quiet inward focussed lives, but to live boldly to the outside with love, grace and kindness.

The team here is incredible. We get to work with amazing people who love Jesus with all their hearts. We are truly learning from, and growing with, people who have great ministry experience and live it out with humility. We are thankful.

We are also thankful for each and every one of you that is praying for us and rooting for us. Without that, we wouldn’t be able to do any of this. So, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!

If you would like to know how you could pray for us in the coming months, here is a list of things that we are trusting God for:

  • That God will continue to give us favour as a church. That we will continue to operate in a spirit of love and unity in a city that is sorely divided.
  • That our kids will have a fruitful year in their new grades.
  • That Danica will have favour with the Global Cafe as they go into a time of dreaming and strategising about the future.
  • That God will continue to strengthen my relationships with the other Worship Pastors in the UK and Europe.
  • I am also starting to assist with coaching at Noah’s football academy. This is strategic to get to know some people outside of church and get a foot in the door in our local community.
  • We are starting to plan our visit back to SA next year. Please pray for the finances and timing to work out.

Thank you all so much for your continued generosity!

Please send us a mail with how we can pray for you at this time.

Love and miss you all,

Brian, Danica, Noah and Zoë
